Your Halifax Charity Gala guide - all you need to know
OUR streets will turn into a riot of colour tomorrow for Halifax Charity Gala.
Thousands are expected to flock to the 53rd annual charity gala - one of the most popular events in Calderdale.

And with floats of all shapes and sizes, the baby contest, and fun and games in Manor Heath Park, visitors will not be disappointed.
Gala chairman Christopher Wake said: "It will be a great family day out.
"Last year's gala was a record breaker and if we get good weather and a big crowd I'm confident we will raise more than £20,000 this year."
The parade, made up from floats from charities and local businesses, will start from the Eureka car park at 12.30pm.
It will then be led by Halifax Boys' & Girls' Brigade Band and the Mayor of Calderdale, Arshad Mahmood, in an open-top car to Manor Heath Park, arriving around 1.30pm.
Revellers will be treated to all manner of entertainment.
Youngsters can enjoy fairground rides, sideshow stalls and even an Army zipwire and assault course.
There will be more than 30 charity stalls selling food and arts and crafts, as well as music from Hebden Bridge Brass Band, Suga Brown and the Diamond Divas.
The baby contest will take place in the main marquee at 2pm.
Tickets for the gala are available from all the charities involved, plus Halifax Tourist Information Centre and the Courier offices. People will also be able to pay on the day.
Gala prices:
Advance tickets are £1 adults, oaps and concessions; £1 for two children under 16.
On the day: £5 for a family ticket; £2 adult, £1 concessions and children under 16, under 5s free.
Overgate Hospice, Elland, has appealed for volunteers to appear on their float during the gala procession.
