£8000 Give Away

During the September charities meeting it was announced by the gala committee’s treasurer, Julian Fielden, that £8000 profit from the 2009 Gala would be shared amongst the 36 current member organisations.

Gayla or Garla?

Which is the correct pronunciation of Gala? This has been a long standing debate and has even been discussed (in jest) at Committee Meetings.
